Ramsharan is a seasoned Collection Recovery Officer with over three decades of experience in the banking sector, recognized for his expertise in debt recovery and management. For the past 20 years, he has led the Collection and Recovery Department at Standard Chartered Bank Nepal, earning a reputation for strategic leadership, compliance, and fostering positive client relationships.
Ramsharan began his banking career in 1991 with ANZ Grindlays and later Standard Chartered Bank Nepal, where he built a solid foundation in various operations, including trade finance, card services, clearing, customer service, and collection and recovery. In 2004, he became the Head of Collection and Recovery at Standard Chartered Bank Nepal, where he has driven significant improvements in recovery rates and operational efficiency through the development of effective collection strategies.
In addition to his leadership role, Ramsharan has mentored and developed a high-performing team of collection agents, focusing on skill enhancement and professional growth. He believes in balancing effective collection practices with empathy and understanding toward clients, recognizing the importance of maintaining relationships while achieving recovery goals.
Ramsharan is dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation in the collection space. He has attended numerous training sessions and conferences both nationally and internationally, earning certifications in Collection management, Credit risk management, and Collection Head workshops. Additionally, he is involved with the National Banking Institute, where he provides training to bankers in the field of collection and recovery.
